Zite the popular news reader app for iPhone is now available for Android. Zite is personalized magazine reader for Android that automatically grab news, articles, blogs and video based on your interest. The app filter the news that you wanna read and you can choose from different sections like Gaming and Tech, Motorcycles, cats, vegetarianism etc. Once the magazine has created, you can interact with the articles you read on zite by voting up or down and watch your magazine get more personalized based on your votes. Zite collect data from Google Reader and Twitter, so you’ve to setup both account for better result.
Download and install the app on your Android phone. Zite will ask you whether you’ve set Zite on any other device. If yes It’ll collect data from earlier device you used. If No, you’ll reach accounts page where you’ve to connect Google Reader and Twitter (Connect both the account for better result).
After that you’ve to Choose sections for your magazine. You can choose from the list of search for new sections from search box. Once you’ve done, now you can see the Top stories along with your chosen sections. Swipe left and right to change the sections.
You can tap on any article to read it. You can vote up or vote down any article, share the article with your friends, increase or decrease the font size or view the original article on web browser.
The Zite for Android is available free on Google Play Store and requires Android 2.1 and up. Yes its available on ICS as well.
