Panasonic India has announced the launch of the Lumix S9, a compact full-frame mirrorless camera.
The Lumix S9 boasts a 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), image stabilization, and a lightweight design (403g).
For image stabilization, it utilizes a 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 system with 6.5 stops¹, body I.S. with 5 stops², and Active I.S., effectively compensating for camera shake even when shooting on the move. The E-Stabilization (Video) function further enhances stable footage with perspective distortion correction and a High mode.
The camera features a real-time LUT function that allows creators to apply a range of popular LUTs (color styles/filters) directly in-camera via a dedicated LUT button.
Panasonic has also improved the transfer speed between the camera and phone with a new app. Users can add filters to footage directly on the camera, making it sharable on social media without any editing. Additionally, a new recording format – MP4 Lite – allows for Open Gate shooting in 4:2:0 10-bit at 30p/25p. This format optimizes high-quality video capture for smartphones, making it easier to resize for social media.
