Nokia finally announced Nokia N9 at the Nokia Connection event in Singapore. The sexy phone is the first-ever pure touch Smartphone. Nokia N9 focuses on the apps, notifications and easy switching between navigations. You can swipe of a finger to navigate the UI. Nokia N9 based on MeeGo and powered by 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM. The Nokia N9 will be in stores later this year
Features of N9:
- Elegant Design
Nokia N9 has unibody design, 3.9 inch curved glass AMOLED which takes the full benefit of the user interface. Bigger screen gives you better apps experience. N9 improved the antenna performance, this means better reception, better voice quality and fewer dropped calls.
Nokia N9 comes in three different colors: Black, Cyan and Magenta with the storage capacities of 16 GB and 64 GB.
- Swipe
Whenever you are in an application, you just swipe from the edge of the screen to go back home.
- Full Touch
The Nokia N9 is the world’s first pure touch screen phone without any front-facing button. Just unlock the phone by double-tapping the screen.
- Three Home Views
There are three recognizable home views arranged in a carousel:
- Applications for launching and organizing the apps.
- Events for Social networking feeds and notifications for calls, texts, calendar events.
- Last one is for switching between all live apps you have used recently.
Just pinch and zoom the screen to see either four or nine open app icons.
- Camera
Nokia N9 has 9MP auto focus camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED flash and super wide 28mm lens. You can also share your photos via MMS, email, NFC and many online service including Flickr and Facebook.
HD video and true 16:9 resolutions are supported. You can share video clips directly on Vimeo or YouTube.
Images and Videos are saved in Gallery where you can tag media, mark favorites and view slideshows. Also edit your photos with auto fix, crop and red-eye reduction.
- Web Bowser
Nokia N9 built on the latest Webkit 2 technology. You can have several browsers windows open in the open application view and you can switch them too. Favorite websites are shown as visual thumbnails, supported by a full browsing history. Wide HTML5 support offers access to rich web applications and fast video playback.
- Maps
Nokia N9 has the latest Nokia Maps with voice guided turn by turn navigation. You can also discover nearby places with cafes, shops, hotel and more. There is also a dedicated Drive app for in-car navigation.
- Dolby Sound
You can enjoy the Dolby sound in Nokia N9 with Dolby Headphone and Dolby Digital Plus support.
- NFC Enabled
You can connect Nokia N9 with any NFC-enabled accessories. Do Bluetooth pairing once and after that you can connect to them just by touching. You can share photos or business cards via NFC.
- Games
Enjoy a high-definition gaming experience on Nokia N9 with preloaded games such as Angry Birds Magic, Galaxy on Fire2 and Real Golf 2011.
- Documents and Notes
You can view Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files in N9.
- Apps
Nokia N9 comes loaded with some top quality apps including Vimeo, Twitter, Skype, Facebook, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Angry Birds magic, Foursquare, AP Mobile, AccuWeather.
