JoliCloud – Quick Review

Have you bought the new Netbook & Are you bored from Windows OS? So maybe you’ve to hands on Netbook OS based on Linux.

With Netbook OS you can do browsing, chatting, downloading, twitting, facebooking easily. Jolicloud build concepts based on Debian Linux & Ubuntu 9.04, which is more suitable for computers that are in low on disk storage, memory & have smaller screens. Hence they are best suited for netbooks and little laptops. To run application, Jolicloud uses either Linux builds for services or Mozilla Prism for anything that can run off the Web. For Windows-only products, there is Wine, an emulator that runs those applications in a Virtual Desktop.

It shows a set of featured applications that mixes desktop and cloud software – Facebook, Skype, Meebo and You tube, among others, are shown with large icons that make it easier on Netbook user.
