How to Install Android 4.0.3 ICS ROM on HTC Desire HD
TweetHTC confirmed that HTC Desire HD will soon gets ICS update but it takes some time. Till HTC release its update why not you try Android 4.0.3 ICS on HTC Desire HD. This ROM is based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and CM9. This tutorial help you to Install Android 4.0.3 ICS ROM on HTC Desire HD.
Prepare your phone:
- Backup your data
- min 60% Battery backup in your phone
- HTC Desire HD needs to be rooted and ClockWorkMod Recovery must be installed.
- Download LC ICS 4.0.3 –1.0 beta4 ROM
Instructions to Install Android 4.0.3 ICS on HTC Desire HD:
- Enable USB debugging in your phone (Settings –> Applicatons –>Development –> USB Debugging)
- Connect your phone to computer using USB Cable
- Transfer Zip file to your Root of the SD Card
- Reboot your mobile into ClockWorkMod Recovery Mode (hold Volume Down + Power button)
- Got to “bootloader” and select “recovery”
- If you want to backup your existing ROM select “Backup and Restore”
- Select “wipe data/factory reset” to wipe out phone data
- now select “Wipe Cache Partition”
- In the Main Menu, got to “Advanced” and then run “Wipe Dalvik Cache”
- back to main menu, you need to select “install zip from sd card” and then select ‘”choose zip from SD Card”.
- Choose the update-LC-ICS-1.0.beta4-DesireHD-signed.zip file that you transferred in above steps
- Wait till installing finished, Now select “Go Back” then “reboot”
- Kudos You’ve successfully Installed ICS 4.0.3 ROM on your HTC Desire HD.
