Apple Officially Announced the Launch of Safari 5 with HTML5 support and also with some great new features. It 30% faster than Safari 4. Take a look to new features of Safari 5.
Features of Safari 5:
Safari Reader
A new scrollable interface for reading RSS feeds. It removes annoying ads from post so that you get only information that you looking for.
HTML5
Now Safari 5 supports over a dozen new HTML5 features. Now you can view the Full-screen video with closed captions feature. Safari 5 also support for the HTML5 geolocation standard. When you view geolocation enabled website, Safari ask you to sharing your location. If you don’t want to share your location then you can turn it off.
Faster Nitro Engine
Safari upgrades their engine. With Nitro Engine in Safari 5, you can do faster web browsing, it load your JavaScript at greater speed than before.
Safari powered by Bing
Safari 5 comes with built-in Bing Search Engine that helps you to find what you’re looking on web. In addition Safari 5 also provides Google and Yahoo! Search.
Extension Builder
With Safari 5, you can build and deploy your extension and share your Safari Extensions by submitting it to the Safari Extension Gallery.
Improved Catching
If you already viewed page in past then on next time Safari load the past page faster than before. It also added a DNS prefetching. On a web page, Safari find all links and look up the addresses. If you click one of the links then safari quickly loads the web page.
